Greta B's Cake Creations
I've decided to set up this site to share my cake creations. I am self taught with some very helpful hints and suggestions from my Chef husband. Here you can see my early works as well as my more recent cakes. I enjoy doing traditional designs as much as coming up with custom designs to suit different requests. A lot of my pictures are poor, particularly the early ones as I have yet to invest in a good camera. You can reach me at g.roxanne.bennett@gmail.com

Fore!!!
This is a "golf bag" designed cake I made for a co-worker's retirement party. I carved the basic outline from a 1/2 slab and made the "pouch" and clubs from a 9-10" round.
The cake is marble and has a base coat of "my" butter cream ;-)
The brown and black fondant is chocolate. I'm anxious to experiment with modeling chocolate. It was difficult to mold the Tees and have them stay in shape with the time I had to complete this cake. It was fun none the less.
It was enjoyed and appreciated!
Mini Chocolate Breakfast Cake!
My beautiful Daughter turned 13 June 3rd. So for breakfast I made her a 6" homemade from scratch, chocolate cake covered in chocolate fondant, topped with a kinder egg and a fondant rose. Yes, I let her eat it for breakfast. No I did not get up early to do it - I stayed up late the night before and did it after she went to bed ;- ) . She took some to school and shared the rest with her father and brother.

Belle
This is one I made for my eldest granddaughter's 6th BD.
I was just playing with materials I had. Next time I will use modeling chocolate or marzipan. I didn't want to put a doll in the cake. I wanted it all edible and I wanted to try sculpting. Chocolate cake covered in fondant. Yes she's a bit bustier then intended, lol. It caused her body length to push down. It was fun and it was liked.

Another TO Maple Leaf
My second Maple Leaf cake
This one is vanilla with rolled fondant.Instead of covering the board in white fondant this time I made a fondant rope out of white and blue. This one is about 25% smaller then the last but I used the same letter stencils that I made for the last one.
The first picture is without the birthday wishes.
